In the heating centre of the Technical University of Berlin time and space presented the project participants with challenges that needed to be solved. Within a short conversion time and in confined spaces, two district heating stations were installed for 2.8 and 1.4 MW thermal output.
As a partner for individual and project-specific solutions Meibes has realized this custom made solution in close cooperation with the project participants.
In early summer 2016, the modernization of the heating centre including the district heating stations of the Technical University of Berlin was scheduled.
Tight space conditions and the associated project-specific design in connection with the desired performance of the required stations were a challenge. District heating stations with heat transfer capacities of 2.8 MW and 1.4 MW were needed.
Special designs of the stations were made and delivered by Meibes in consultation with the engineering office.
The role as a manufacturer is in such 'custom made' projects no longer to be just a supplier but an essential project participant.
From the heat source to heat emission to heat distribution, Flamco, Meibes and Simplex cover a broad spectrum of innovative building technology systems.
